what would you do if you saw a dog in a car?

I love this show… and I think it is a good one for the dogs especially now that temperatures everywhere but here where Cici and I are in Monterey (it’s raining) and seems it’s going to be a much cooler summer this year, anyway, when it is warm/hot outside, do not leave your dog inside the car. And if you see someone else’s dog inside a hot car, even with the windows cracked a little bit, what would you do?

Cici and I actually had that situation last November when it is warmer here. And I did not know what to do. The poor dog was inside a fancy car for a long time. People rallied but no one knew what to do. I had no cell phone. We watched and waited and well, read all about it here.

ok what is wrong with Word Press today?  it would not do the links nor post the tags.

and here is the show What Would You Do the episode with the dog in a hot car…

by the way, they tell you to call 911 and hopefully the police will do something. I saw recently when they did not and the dog died. Ok am going to bash NYC because it seems like bad things are going on there in my hometown with animals lately. Shelter scandals and more.

Ok, well, Not in NYC but in Virginia, the police let the dog die in a hot car…

Did you know? It’s illegal to leave an animal unattended in a vehicle under inhumane conditions adverse to the health or welfare of the living animal or creature. For every such offense, violator shall be fined not less than $250 nor more than $1000, or be imprisoned for a term of not more than six months, or both, in the discretion of the court.

What is the law in your town, city and/or state?

Funny thing is, I just re-connected with a friend from Junior High school 74 in Queens, NYC yesterday. Every so often, I search for people I used to know and do not know whatever happened to them. And lo and behold although I have never been able to find this woman ever before, because I found out I was spelling her name wrong, it ends in a y not an i as I have been spelling it, duh, anyway I found her, got her address and phone number and called. And she hardly remembered me but she did not even recall the boyfriend she had then (who I confessed I also had a crush on then) we chatted for an hour and became Facebook friends. Plus I have her email address. She is in Florida and I am in California. But our birthdays are the same month in November.  We had a party together for our 14th birthday and a bunch of bad boys, juvenile delinquents, showed up and we had to call the police. Those were the days, hah.  What does this have to do with dogs in hot cars? Nothing… :-)
